NY Giants Running Back Could Miss Multiple Weeks
New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley suffered an ankle sprain and stands to miss multiple weeks with the injury. The injury occurred in their game against the Arizona Cardinals. Barkley is expected to miss upcoming games against the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. The Giants went on to win the game 31-28 erasing a 21 point deficit. Barkley twisted his ankle in the fourth quarter of the game. Barkley rushed 17 times for 63 yards and one touchdown. He also added 6 receptions for 29 yards including a receiving touchdown. Needless to say Barkley will be missed by the New York Giants.
Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb has been ruled out for the remainder of the season. Chubb suffered a knee injury in Cleveland’s Monday night loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The injury happened in the second quarter during a run inside the red zone. This is a huge loss for the Browns as Chubb is the engine of that team. Chubb is considered the best player on the Cleveland Browns.
In other news, ex NFL player Dion Lewis was arrested at Tampa’s Seminole hard rock casino. Lewis was charged Monday after he became “unruly and belligerent” according to Florida authorities.
